Senior Client Partner – UK based, remote or hybrid
The role
A growing technology consultancy is hiring a Senior Client Partner to convert warm opportunities into client engagements and then grow those accounts. Most leads come through strategic technology partner referrals, industry events, group relationships and inbound activity, with some self-sourced new business alongside.
Role: Senior Client Partner (permanent, full time)
Location: UK based, remote or hybrid
Reports to: Managing Director
What you will do
- Qualify and close leads from strategic partner referrals, industry events and inbound marketing.
- Build working relationships with Microsoft Solution Specialists (SSPs) and Account Executives (AEs) to create co-sell opportunities.
- Use Microsoft funding, including Partner-led programmes and ECIF, to accelerate deals.
- Work with technical teams to scope opportunities and build tailored proposals.
- Own the sales cycle through to signed contract and a clean handover to Delivery.
- Stay close to clients after the deal, managing the account to drive renewals, extensions and cross-sell (land and expand).
- Pursue selected new business opportunities alongside the inbound pipeline.
- Keep CRM pipeline data accurate and report regularly on activity and forecast.
What we are looking for
Essential
- A proven record of closing consultative deals in IT services, software development or technology consultancy.
- Account management experience, growing revenue within existing clients.
- Confidence building proposals with technical colleagues and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong pipeline discipline and accurate forecasting in a CRM.
Preferred
Experience within the Microsoft ecosystem: selling projects involving Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform and Azure, and knowledge of its partner programmes and field network.
A track record of engaging Microsoft SSPs and AEs and winning co-sell opportunities.
Experience with Microsoft funding, including Partner-led programmes and ECIF, is an advantage.
What we offer
- Base salary of £75,000 to £85,000, depending on experience.
- Uncapped commission, paid quarterly, covering new deals and growth within your accounts.
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, a birthday day off and family and pet responsibility leave.
- Flexible hours around core time of 09:00 to 14:00, working remotely or hybrid.
- Laptop, phone and expenses for client travel and events.
- Six month probation, then two months’ notice.
Notes for the recruiter
This is a closing and account growth role, not a pure hunter role. Most leads are provided, so screen for candidates who convert warm opportunities and then expand the account.
Microsoft ecosystem experience is the strongest differentiator, particularly relationships with Microsoft SSPs and AEs and use of Microsoft funding.
Some self-sourced new business is expected, but it is secondary.
