Salary: £35K with potential to earn 5K bonus
Our wholesaler client in the Birmingham area is a customer service-oriented supplier of units, tools and components with several years’ experience behind them. Their services cover pre and after-sales, as well as technical support offerings for their customers. A Purchasing Negotiator is needed to join their team and bring some real results.
The Purchasing Negotiator will be responsible for delivering improvements by reducing cost, improving terms, reducing inventory value and rationalising the client’s product range and supplier base, in order to increase profitability.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
~Meeting with suppliers on a weekly basis, negotiating and reviewing commercial terms and supply agreements
~Negotiate supply agreement documents for key Supply Partners annually, including cost of good reduction, payment terms, stock cleanse and freight reduction among others
~Work with internal departments to identify and develop areas of of potential supply improvement
~Reduce stocked product range where possible
~Show understanding of the UK market to seek opportunities or identify threats
~Proven negotiation skills with results
~Ability to undertake multiple tasks and meet deadlines
~Proficiency in computer software, including MS Excel and Word
