Business Development Manager – London

My Client has been providing services and solutions to the public sector for 35 years. They manage a number of long-term partnerships with local authorities; work across Central Government; deliver innovative, stand-alone services reviews and support a growing number of private sector organisations.

The role includes:

  • New business pipeline generation
  • Research and exploitation of new market sectors
  • Upsell / cross sell opportunities with existing clients
  • Territory management, planning and reporting
  • Customer facing sales meetings
  • Working in partnership with internal sales resource
  • Customer management
  • Understanding current and predicting future client requirements

Areas of experience which are essential for this role

  • A track record of new business development from one or more of the following
    • UK private sector
    • Local authorities
    • Central Government departments
    • Housing associations
    • Emergency services
    • Third sector bodies
  • Demonstrable evidence of hitting / exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to manage a geographic territory and develop territory plans that show how you will exceed target
  • Experienced in selling managed services and/or software
  • Experience of managing a pipeline of opportunities using Salesforce, MS Dynamics (or similar)
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Experience of presenting at all levels (up to and including C-suite)
